CAREERS AT SURAVISION

Join the Team at SuraVision in Houston

Every detail matters, from the first phone call to a patient thrilled with the way they see. If that is how you like to work, we would like to meet you.

Why People Choose to Work Here

You work close to the care. Our patients meet their surgeon directly, and the team works the same way. In a practice this size you are never boxed into one narrow task. You follow patients through the whole arc, from the first phone call through the work-up, the surgery center, and the visits after.

You learn modern ophthalmology. SuraVision runs current diagnostic and surgical technology, including femtosecond laser platforms and the Light Adjustable Lens, one of the newest lens technologies available. Team members train on equipment many larger clinics have not adopted yet, across LASIK, cataract surgery, and the full range of vision correction procedures.

The work has a mission behind it. SuraVision donates eye surgeries to people in need in underdeveloped countries, and that spirit shapes how we treat patients and each other. Learn more about our practice and about Dr. Sura.

Roles We're Hiring For

We are a small team and we are growing. These three seats are open now, and we are always glad to hear from strong people even when a role is not posted.

Three seats open now. Each one touches the whole patient journey:

Ophthalmic Technician

Work-ups and diagnostic testing, understanding what each patient wants from their vision, surgical case readiness, and time in our surgery center.

First Impression Coordinator

The front office and the first voice on the phone. Registration, scheduling, and the welcome that sets the tone for everything after it.

Surgical Counselor

Guides patients from first questions through consultation to a decision they feel confident about, covering options, cost, and financing in plain language.

Why Work at SuraVision?

01

You own your work end to end and see it through.

02

You work directly with your surgeon, not several layers away from the care.

03

You split your time between the clinic and our surgery center, so you see the whole journey.

04

You train on technology many larger clinics have not adopted yet.

05

You cross-train broadly instead of repeating one narrow task all day.

06

Nobody here is above any task, and we all still have more to learn.

07

Your ideas reach the person who can act on them the same day.

08

There is a mission behind the work, including surgeries we donate to people in need abroad.

Pay and Benefits

We offer competitive pay based on your experience and certification, along with paid time off, paid holidays, and health insurance. We talk through the specifics openly in your first conversation, so you know exactly where you stand before you decide.

Clinic Days and Surgery Center Days

Our technicians are not desk-bound. A week here moves between clinic days, where you handle work-ups, diagnostic testing, and understanding what each patient actually wants, and days in our surgery center, where you help cases run smoothly from setup through recovery. Seeing both sides is what makes a technician here unusually well-rounded.

How You Grow Here

Small teams create fast growth. Technicians cross-train across refractive and cataract diagnostics, coordinators develop real depth in patient scheduling and communication, and surgical counselors build genuine expertise in how patients weigh a decision about their vision. If pursuing certification such as COA or COT is on your roadmap, bring it up and we will work out how to support it together.

How to apply. Email your resume to hello@suravision.com with the role in the subject line, or call 713-730-2020 and ask for the practice manager. If you do not see your role listed and you believe you belong here, reach out anyway. We keep strong resumes on file.

Questions about working here? We have the answers.

Do I need certification to apply for the ophthalmic technician role?

Certification such as COA or COT is a plus and is reflected in pay, but it is not always required. Experienced technicians and motivated candidates from adjacent clinical backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

What does an ophthalmic technician actually do here?

Patient work-ups and diagnostic testing such as biometry, topography, and imaging; listening for what each patient wants from their vision and documenting it; making sure each surgical case is ready; and helping care run smoothly in our surgery center. You also stay in touch with patients before and after their procedure.

What is a surgical counselor?

Our surgical counselor guides patients from their first questions through consultation and on to a decision they feel confident about, explaining options, costs, and financing in plain language, and following up so nobody is left wondering. Great fits often come from patient-facing work in healthcare, hospitality, or other consultative roles.

What procedures does the practice perform?

LASIK, PRK, SMILE, EVO ICL, refractive lens exchange, and cataract surgery with advanced lens options including the Light Adjustable Lens, plus corneal cross-linking and glaucoma care. Team members gain exposure across all of them.

Where is SuraVision located?

2601 Westheimer Rd, Suite C200, Houston, TX 77098, in the Upper Kirby district.

How do I apply if I do not see my role listed?

Send your resume anyway. Small practices grow, and we hire for character and curiosity as much as for a specific opening.
