Patient-Focused Care is Our Standard (But Don't Take Our Word For It)
Every patient has unique eyes and a unique story. We welcome you to read the stories of the many happy patients we’ve been honored to serve at SuraVision. These individuals made the phone call, made the drive to our office and made the decision to transform their lives through one of the Modern Vision Correction procedures we offer at SuraVision. We invite you to do the same!
Advanced, Modern LASIK Is the Only Type of LASIK Eye Surgery You'll Find at SuraVision.
LASIK was FDA approved more than 20 years ago. Modern LASIK has no more in common with early LASIK than your current iPhone has in common with the brick phones from the 1990s. We use the most advanced laser vision correction technology and platforms to give you the best visual outcomes. See how LASIK works.
Astigmatism? Struggling with your vision?
Nearsighted, farsighted, or dealing with astigmatism? Dr. Sura is able to correct any of these vision challenges in minutes with our Modern LASIK technology. In fact, we’ve been able to permanently correct these for many years. Myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), and astigmatism can all be corrected. Astigmatism simply refers to an irregular shape of the cornea. LASIK corrects myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism better than glasses and contact lenses by correcting it at the source. The change you notice is immediate and will give you better vision than glasses or contact lenses.
“LASIK has been overwhelmingly found to be safe and effective, perhaps the most studied procedure through the FDA.”
FEEL LIKE ROYALTY
You are our VIP.
You are our top priority. You are not treated like a number and you won’t find assembly-line-like LASIK here. We focus specifically on your needs. If you are looking for a team that truly takes their time to listen and understand your vision needs, this is the place.
It starts with a LASIK consultation in Houston.
At SuraVision, you will find so much more than a basic LASIK screening. Your SuraVision Ocular Analysis is the most in-depth eye exam you’ll ever experience. You will meet personally with Dr. Sura, your surgeon. He will review your scans, explain your options, and answer all your questions. You will be empowered to choose the ideal eye surgery procedure for your unique eyes and lifestyle.
How much does LASIK Eye Surgery cost in Houston?
Your LASIK investment is $2800 per eye, or $5600 for both eyes regardless of whether or not you have a high prescription, astigmatism, or need a topography guided treatment. We are the only Houston practice to publish our real LASIK eye surgery price.
Glasses and contacts are more expensive than you think.
The average person spends $25,000+ on glasses, contact lenses, solution, eye exams, etc. It’s like renting your vision from the glasses and contacts lens industry. Worst of all, these will NEVER correct your vision. Use our affordability calculator and see how much you can save with your Houston LASIK procedure.

LASIK questions? We have the answers.
Is LASIK safe?
Does LASIK wear off?
In LASIK, we permanently correct the irregular shape of the cornea, or surface of the eye. Around age 47, most people begin to have difficulty seeing up close (presbyopia). This occurs whether they’ve had LASIK or not. If you are close to this age, we’ll take that into consideration in determining your best options.
Does LASIK hurt?
Patients often exclaim “That was it?!” after their Houston LASIK procedures. With the advanced technologies we use, the Modern LASIK procedure is quick and comfortable. Most patients describe the sensation as a feeling of slight pressure.
How long does LASIK take?
What if I blink or move during LASIK?
Our lasers are designed to limit and also account for movements. Even if you were to cough or sneeze, the laser will pause and resume exactly where it left off. There is no need to be concerned.
Who is a candidate for LASIK?
Is there an alternative to LASIK?
If you are not a good candidate for LASIK, you can still achieve visual freedom! LASIK is just one of many procedures offered at SuraVision such as SMILE, PRK, ICLs, Refractive Lens Exchange, or Corneal Inlays.
What's the downtime after LASIK?
Most of our LASIK patients are back to work the very next day. The vision itself is usually 20/20 or better within a few minutes of the procedure and continues to clear and improve even more over the next week.
Does insurance cover LASIK?
No. As part of your LASIK consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss costs, benefits, and financing options with one of our patient coordinators.
Can I Use My HSA or FSA for LASIK?
Is LASIK cheaper than contacts?
Yes. Most people will spend far more on contact lenses over the years and decades than the one-time cost for LASIK. It is so much better and economical to correct your vision than to rely on glasses and contacts.
Why should I get LASIK?
If you want straight teeth, you get braces. If you want great vision, get vision correction. LASIK and other vision correction methods are becoming the standard for vision care. Glasses and contacts should be used during childhood while developing to ocular maturity, but only rarely after that. In the future, glasses will be obsolete. Just watch Star Trek: No one is wearing glasses.
Visual freedom is closer than you think.
Don’t delay — the time for LASIK is now. You’ve got one life—live it free from glasses or contacts. Our patients always wonder why they waited so long for LASIK after seeing what they’ve been missing.
